Worldfilm Regulations 2010

For the festival, all films, which have been produced after January 1st 2007 and have not yet been screened at Worldfilm festival or rejected by Worldfilm program committee, are eligible. The preference will be given to documentary and anthropological documentary films.

Films should be in English or have English subtitles. Acceptable screening formats (PAL): Betacam-SP (2 audio channels), MiniDV, DVCAM

                         
The program committee decides which submitted films are accepted for the festival program. The selection will be made by the end of 2009.

There is no competition program. Selected films will be screened at the festival without screening fee. If sufficient funding becomes available, the festival will provide accommodation and limited compensation of travel costs for filmmakers of selected films.

Entries must reach Estonian National Museum no later than October 15th, 2009.

In order to submit Your film:
1) complete the entry form (download here: http://www.worldfilm.ee/ )
2) send a printed and signed version of the entry form with the preview-copy of the film (DVD in English or with English subtitles), biography&filmography, and synopsis (all in both electronic and print format) to the following address:

For the selected films, photos and transcripts of the dialogue and commentary should be made available on request.

The preview copies of the submitted films will be available in a video library during the festival. The preview copies will not be returned and will remain at the organising institutions as part of their research and educational video library.

Transport and insurance costs for preview copies submitted for selection are to be paid by the sender. The participant will pay shipment and insurance of the screening copies of the selected films. Return shipment costs of screening copies will be covered by the festival organisation.
